About Me

Dappy and Bandit the Dog
Dappy and Bandit

    I am a genuine native of Idaho.  I was born in Burley and was raised about 15 miles outside of Kuna at a time when Kuna had a population of only a few hundred.  My youngest son is still in elementary school, and my eldest son is serving in the US Navy and is an Aviation Electrician in a fighter squadron which is composed of F/A-18 Super Hornets and is deployed aboard the nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76).  My first child, a daughter, is married to a great guy and she teaches English in the Meridian School District.  My beautiful wife of many years is not only the center of my world... she is also my very best friend.

    I joined the United States Navy at the age of 17 and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer.  I am now retired from active Naval service, after visiting 72 different countries and spending about half my life at sea.  I have about 10 years of experience as a mechanical engineer.  I also worked for several years in the construction industry.  This includes primarily the areas of roofing and framing, but also has included work in these areas:  concrete, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish carpentry, installing doors and windows, sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.  I have also done complete remodeling projects on several different homes spanning the last 18 years. I performed my first home inspection in Mitchell, South Dakota in 1990.  I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of New York.

    I am fully insured.  I display vehicle signs as a security measure and as a courtesy to my clients, their new neighbors, and their Agents.  I am a member of the following organizations, or I have completed the following training:

April 19, 1989.  9:55am          USS Iowa (BB-61)
      Gun Turret #2 exploded internally
                 Forty-Seven Sailors died
     in the service of this great nation
This is my personal tribute to honor their memory...
                                                                             My friends; my shipmates.

eternal Father, Strong to Save
whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
who bid'st the mighty ocean deep
its own appointed limits keep;
O' hear us when we cry to thee,
for those in  peril on the sea.
